Annnnnnd, we’re back.

Wow….spare time….to blog!!!  Where was this hour of opportunity yesterday?!?!  Oh thats right…I don’t even think I had time to exhale…let alone blog!!!!  Depressing!  From teaching my normal classes, to subbing for someone for 3 weeks and picking up all her classes….it’s insane!  Did I mention that our city’s version of Biggest Loser aka “Eight To The Eight’s” kicks off FRIDAY?!?!?!  I am about at max capacity in terms of time limits here.  Shew.  It’s a darn good thing I love my job more than life.  😉

Started off the day with a 5:45am “Insanity” inspired Circuit Class.  Emily and Kim have been doing Insanity on a regular basis, and I wish I had the time to do it with them!  It is full of awesomeness in every sense of the word…..assuming that is an actual word.  😉  Instead of joining them, I have been adding the moves to my classes…which is going swimmingly!  Today’s Circuit Class used absolutely no equipment, and had 12 stations.  We went through each station once, at one minute…and then repeated the circuit.  The last circuit was comprised of 12-1 minute ab workouts.  KILLER!  Also, theres nothing like ending a class with a full out 2 minute suicide drill using the whole gym.  😉  They love to hate me.

Walked back home (loving the fact that I am in walking distance) and met my favorite guy for breakfast.

Went very random with today’s mix-ins.  They included:

  • Agave Maple Syrup Blend
  • Chia Seeds
  • Dried Bananas
  • Mocha Madness Trail Mix
  • Almond Butter

Totally random.  Totally delicious.

Have I mentioned my un-dying love for my precious trail mix?!?!

Droolsville.

At this point, it was back to the YMC-izzle to teach “Total Body Low Impact” which is basically a strength/cardio full body workout, minus the intense plyometric/jumping movements that I feature in my other classes.  Again, another sweat sesh!

Seemed to have developed a pattern for today.  Teach…eat…teach…eat.  Therefore…it was time for lunch.

New to me flavor of Veggie Burger…this time, Earth Fizzle brand!  This bad boy was sooooo good!  I put it on an Arnold’s Thin with some Light Swiss Laughing Cow, Spinach…and then pressed the whole thing on the George Foreman…

Melty, cheesy, yum.  Also had some Veggie Booty, and a chopped Honey Crisp!

Well.  It is almost 3:00.  You know what that means, right?!?!?!

I have been having them put my protein powder in the Frap when they blend it!  For half price, you can’t beat it.  Plus they are fully customizable now!  I higgggghly recommend the new Mocha Lite.

Well.  Time for a coffee/protein buzz…and then to my other gym for KidFit…and back to the YMCA for Total Body HIIT.  Man, my body is hating me this week! Do as I say, not as I do people! All these high intense workouts (especially weight workouts) should not be done back to back…and definitely not on the same day!  Give your body a rest.

What is your favorite Frappuccino/Starbucks beverage?!  How often do you hit up the Bizzle each week?  If you could invent any flavor of Frapp, what would it be?  I would want some sort of Almond Milk/Protein Powder/Carmel creation….Mmmmm…..

Anyone got some spare crutches???

I.  Cannot.  Move.  hahahaha, it is quite hilarious to see me limping around today.  Totally worth it though.  Half Marathon was amazing!  I woke up this morning, and CRAWLED out of bed long enough to find my new best friend.

It was all I could do not to just turn up the bottle in hope of some instant relief.  Felt a bit better when I had instantly gotten texts from both Emily and Kim with the standard “omg I cannot MOVE!” message.  That eased my pain, knowing I wasn’t the only one.  What’s mainly hurting my today is the knee (bah, I am used to it) and the right hip.  I think the hip is hurting because I kept having to put all my weight on it to give my knee relief.  Ah well, I am sore and it stinks…but it will fade…eventually.  On to breakfast!

Come one people.   You know the souvenir coffee mug has some instant cheer factor.  My oats had the classic:

  • 1/4th Cup Oats
  • 1 Cup Almond Milk
  • 3 TBSP Flax Seed
  • 1 Truvia
  • Banana
  • Soy-nola

I call it Soy-nola, because it is chocked full of yummy soy nuts!  I love this combo!

Yummmmmm.

Finally decided to unpack everything, and cleaned my room while hobbling around.  The dog’s thought I was nuts, and I am pretty sure they were wondering why their father was walking around like a zombie from the waist down.  I missed this face!

Which reminds me that he is almost in need for a groomer visit!

Lunch was simple yet delicious.  Started with some Ezekiel Bread and Laughing Cow Light Swiss:

I topped these yummies with a Gardenburger, and some Broccoli Slaw that I had wilted in a pan to get nice and soft:

Roasted some brussels on the side complete with a few dashes of red pepper flakes:

Dessert was an amazing surprise!  I am still on my 14 day Attune challenge.  I opened up my fridge to start my second box of these suckers, and realized that they had sent me the second box as a mixture of all their flavors!  Score!!

I was stoked!  Went for the Almond goodness.

Yum-ville!  Not that I didn’t/don’t love the vanilla blueberry, but I love all these new options!  Yay Attune, I heart you.

I went back to Pyromania around mile 11/12, because it is ahhhhh-mazing.  It was awesome to sprint to the end with!

Time to go teach high school Yoga, then to teach Spin tonight!  I have missed being back in the groove of things!

Productivity, who knew.

Who knew that with some good tunes in the background, and a semi-empty schedule…I can get alot done!  I worked alot on my Florida i-tunes mix…which is appropriately named “Flow-Rye-Dah” and contains some pump-worthy jams…all of which will be posted tomorrow.  Any suggestions?!?!  What are some of your favorite running tunes? 

Between being productive and lunch, I may have had several handfull’s of these gems:

What can I say, productivity yields hunger in my case.  I attempted to clean my room, but there were a couple of hairy monsters preventing my bed from being completely cleared:

I worked around them, as per usual.

Lunch time rolled around and I was feeling particularly creative again.  I love the days where I have time to think about/create meals.

Started out with a veggie burger (LOVING this brand), a whole wheat tortilla, and some Light Swiss L.C. Cheese!

Topped the tortilla with the cheese, and then cut the burger and placed it on top.  It needed something extra…so I added some Broccoli Slaw mixed with some leftover Almond Butter Sauce from last night.  It was like a yummy and healthy coleslaw!

Some Organic Pam went in a heated pan…and I grilled that baby up!

Put some Greek Yogurt on for the “sour cream” fix, and chopped up a huge pear to go alongside…

‘Twas yummy.

Finished off with dessert, of course, which was a kicked up Attune bar!

Perfection.

Headed to work early so I could get a quick workout in.  Did 30 minutes on the Elliptical, and 30 minutes on the AMT, aka Death Machine.  Doing this puppy on level 20 = Tyler looks like he just jumped out of the shower.  I was seriously drenched!  Love it though.

Showered, changed, and came into work.  A snack was definitely in order:

Dinner was leftovers, I am sorry to post.  Still delicious though!  Took last nights Stir Fry (Veggie Chicken/Tofu Noodles) and added some brown rice:

Followed by a dessert that made me extremely sad.  The LAST of my Powerberries.

I had the LAST of my precious berries, plus a clementine!

At least I went out with a bang.  I am seriously going to miss these little guys, however….now they will not be constantly calling my name EVERYTIME I see them. 

Well, so much for Tuesday!  I am going to close down the YMCA then head home and go to sleep asap, so I can teach 5:45am spin tomorrow!  Remember…I need Half Marathon song suggestions!!
